Direct Reading Skills
Student progress will be monitored through:
Mid-year and End-year NWEA MAP test scores for both math and reading.
Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) - 4 times during the school year- This assessment measures lexile level which corresponds to the degree of difficulty of words on the page in a given text. The higher the lexile number the more difficult the words on the page.
Unit tests (X- skills tests) administered at the end of 3 readings of the Expert 21Workshops. The Expert 21 Curriculum has on going progress monitoring in reading growth, comprehension strategies, grammar skills, critical thinking skills as well as writing.
Direct Math Skills
Student progress will be monitored through:
the ixl website data components- with multiple data points. (proficiency, accuracy, rate of completion of skill, time on task as well as percentages on embedded tests.
Middle School Math class tests, benchmarks, and daily assignments -
